ELECTIONS DON'T COME CHEAP!

We've all been surprised at how much money it seems to take to get anyone elected these days! $50 million here, $50 million there! Whew!

Having said all that, the facts still are that our candidates will need strong support and our Committee needs money to get the promotional material paid for and to keep a functioning facility up and running. We're proud of the low cost of running our Committee activities. Any surplus we have goes to help our candidates.

Typically, we have two fund-raising events per year. Plan now to attend our Roundup on Sept. 20 at the Bend Golf and Country Club. Call us for a printed invitation.

In addition, we are asking each of our members to make a voluntary $25 per year contribution to cover administrative expenses.

If you wish, you can advertise in our monthly newsletter, The Wave. Costs are nominal and we reach many of the influential Republicans in the area plus a vast audience on the Web.

The election is getting close. We all need to dig down and contribute. Send your check to your favorite candidates directly or to us and we'll disburse to them in your behalf.
