The Deschutes County Republican Central Committee is the official State Republican group in Deschutes County. It has no paid employees. It has no permanent office. It exists to elect the candidates and promote the political issues it supports. Period. That’s what we’re about.
We have about 200 Precinct Committee Persons, who do the business of the Party in our County. We ring doorbells, testify as to our beliefs, phone folks at dinner time, ask people to sign our petitions. In other words, we can be pests!. But we believe that the basic principles are worth fighting for. We can't just sit around watching television, waiting for the ballot to arrive in the mail! If we're to have a successful republic in America, we need to do more, get educated, participate.
We generally meet monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the Bend Senior Center. However, watch our announcements and calendar elsewhere in this website for specifics. Things change!
Where We Stand
We stand for a number of issues. They are developed from the basic beliefs that individual freedom is married to individual responsibility, that we don't need a bunch of politicians or bureaucrats or judges telling us what is good for us, that our successes and failures depend on our individual choices.
